Estate Planning Basics

1. It does not matter what your net worth, it's still important to have a basic estate plan in place.> 2. Any reasonable estate plan contains the following. A will; assignment of power of attorney; and a living will or health-care proxy (medical power of attorney). For some people, a trust may also make sense. When putting together a plan, you must be mindful of both federal and state laws governing estates. 3. You can start with a inventory of your assets. Zach Lund was born and raised in Lee's Summit. After graduating from Lee's Summit North, Zach received his business degree at the University of Missouri Kansas City.  This attorney's business education forms the basis of much of his legal advice.  It was also around this time that Zach Lund experienced first hand the effects of proper estate planning on his own life, which lead him to focus his legal education in Wills and Trusts.  After attending law school at the same University in Kansas City he decided to return to his hometown to form his Law Office in Lee's Summit and become a local attorney. There he has gained the experience through not only his law practice, but also through his own businesses which include real estate. Zach's experiences over the course of his life has lead him to practice law locally in Lee's Summit and also in areas where he has had the necessary first hand experience to give practical advice to his clients.
